Child and Adolescent Therapy

Generational Psychology has experienced child and adolescent psychologists dedicated to supporting young people and their families through challenges they may be facing.

Our psychologists will work collaboratively with you, your child and other important supports in their life - such as schools, paediatrician, occupational therapist, speech pathologist and other health professionals - to develop a treatment plan that helps them thrive. We focus on building skills and strategies to manage symptoms, understand and express emotions and make meaningful changes.

We support children and adolescents with a range of concerns, some common issues include:

  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)

  • Behavioural Concerns

  • Eating Concerns

  • Fears and Phobias

  • Grief and Loss

We offer a range of delivery options for children and adolescents to attend sessions from in-person appointments in Hamilton NSW (a suburb of near Newcastle, well serviced by public transport) or via telehealth (video or phone).

Standard appointments are 50 minutes in duration.

We see clients under the governments Better Access initiative entitled to Medicare rebates under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, Privately (including those with Private Health Insurance) and NDIS participants that are self-managed or plan-managed.
