Assessment Fees
In general a standard child psychology assessment will involve:
1-2 sessions to complete the background and current presenting issues information (eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan).
The assessment is usually about five hours of work and billed on the day of assessment.
The report writing is then five to eight hours of work depending on the complexity of the presentation.
Followed by a feedback session (eligible for a Medicare rebate with a valid Mental Health Treatment Plan).
In addition to the background and feedback sessions, most assessments and reports require a minimum of ten hours of professional time (approximately $2500) due to the depth of analysis and specialist assessment tools involved.
